Baruv Fellowship Program

Slovo21 has coordinated since 2015 the Roma Fellowship program. Its goal is to give the fellows of US Embassy an opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for their professional growth as well as their role as leaders in their communities, advocating for equal opportunity and inclusion.

Since 2017 the program, under a name Baruv Fellowship, has provided placements in private companies, non-profit organizations and government for talented university students with ties to the Roma community, or other disadvantaged communities in the Czech Republic. The goal of the Baruv Fellowship is to empower students from underprivileged communities by helping them gain professional skills to advance their future careers.
