Our Impact
We try to promote interests of Romani people, migrants and members of majority society on local, national and international levels. We do not work for “target groups” because we are the target group. Our team brings together Romani people, Czechs, foreigners from all over the world. We are delighted by this cooperation. Therefore, we work intensively and continuously with institutions and organization both within the Czech Republic and on an international level.

Michal Mižigar
I am hearing impaired, and to this day, my communication relies primarily on lip-reading. Thanks to the experience I gained working with Slovo 21, I became a member of the Interdepartmental Commission of the Czech Government for Roma Community Affairs in 2016. Slovo 21 played a crucial role in my personal and professional development, including earning my bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University.
Lucie Rácová
Thanks to projects by the organization Slovo 21, z.s., I returned to high school. It was very difficult to balance three-shift work as a production operator, motherhood, and my studies. However, I successfully finished school after 5 years by passing my final exams. Completing my secondary education opened up new horizons in both my professional and personal life. My collaboration with Slovo 21 continues to this day.
Aranka Balážová
Since 2006, I have been active in the Romani women's group Manushe under the umbrella of the organization Slovo 21, z.s. It changed my entire life. As a member of the group, I was given the opportunity for education, but above all, motivation, which enabled me to become a Romani assistant at an elementary school and also allowed me to work effectively with children, their parents, and the school.
