First and foremost, sign up for the "Welcome to the Czech Republic" adaptation-integration course. That’s exactly what influencer Andrea, originally from Venezuela, talks about in our new spot. The organization Slovo 21 introduced the format for these adaptation-integration courses 11 years ago. Since January 2021, the course has been mandatory for selected groups of foreigners.

Andrea, how did you get involved in filming the spot for the adaptation-integration courses?

I think it was mainly thanks to my TikTok profile. I often post about Czech culture there. So, when Slovo 21 approached me with this opportunity, I was thrilled.

As an influencer, you have experience with making videos. Still, this is a different discipline, isn't it?

To be honest, I don't have much experience with this type of filming. But when I was younger, I did theater. Plus, I studied film and television, so I’m somewhat familiar with this environment.

By the way, what is your take on the adaptation-integration courses? Do you think they make sense?

Absolutely. I really like the concept, and I think more countries should adopt it. I believe it’s a great way to integrate foreigners into Czech society.

What brought you to the Czech Republic, by the way?

My husband is Czech. We met in Spain and got married in Miami. When our American visas expired, we decided to move to Prague…

What do you like most about the Czech Republic?

You’ll laugh if I say beer, right? But it’s true. Since moving here, I’ve become a beer enthusiast. But I also have to say that I really love the social life in this country. Trips to cottages, the bar and restaurant culture, the amazing Christmas markets… That’s something I truly appreciate.

And what are you focusing on most right now?

My family! I’m a mom to two princesses, Alicia and Chichi, and they are my world.
