23 public administration employees trained in April as part of the Strengthening Intercultural Competencies project!

Throughout April, we successfully continued our training sessions for public administration employees as part of this project.
On April 7th and 8th, a total of 9 employees from the Labor Office and the Hostivice Municipal Office completed our basic training course.
On April 28th and 29th, we also provided basic training to 15 employees of the Ostrava City Hall.
In May, we plan to hold 8 training sessions for employees of the Labor Office, the Police of the Czech Republic, and various municipal offices, including officials from the Brno City Hall and the Frýdek-Místek City Hall.
The training sessions are designed as two-day programs. Public administration and security personnel can look forward to a packed schedule full of interesting information. The program includes modules on migration, cultural identity, and how it changes.
According to participant feedback, a highly popular part of the course is the "Guest Chair" session, where a foreigner living in the Czech Republic shares their personal experiences. Training participants then have the opportunity to ask them questions.
The program also covers the basics of communicating with foreigners and addresses stereotypes about foreigners within the majority society.
At the end of each training session, participants fill out a questionnaire to evaluate the course and its impact on their professional lives. In the questionnaire, participants assess whether they will use the knowledge gained in their work with foreigners, and identify which parts of the training they found most or least beneficial.
The questionnaire also includes evaluations of the instructors' performance and other points that help us improve the quality of our training.
The questionnaires are continuously processed by experts, and the findings are incorporated into an evaluation report.
To date, we have trained a total of 266 people as part of this project, despite the significant complications caused by the difficult pandemic situation.
The project "Strengthening Intercultural Competencies of Public Administration and Security Personnel" (AMIF/29/02) is funded by the European Union under the national program of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and the budget of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.
