Welcome to Refugee Info Czechia!
8/6/2023

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid and development organization. Founded in 1933 as the International Relief Association at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC provides emergency and long-term assistance to refugees and people displaced by war, persecution, or natural disasters around the world.
Since December 15, 2022, the non-governmental, non-profit organization Slovo 21, which has many years of experience working with Roma, foreigners, refugees, and asylum seekers, has launched the joint project Refugee Info Czechia in partnership with the IRC.
We know what is bothering you
Slovo 21 is well aware of the scope and range of issues and problems concerning most refugees currently in the Czech Republic. We conducted a special survey among them, both online and offline, reaching an audience of nearly 600 people. Based on the needs identified in the survey, we organized a list of all non-profit organizations and integration centers operating in the Czech Republic that provide free assistance to Ukrainian refugees and added them to the interactive map on our platform.
How can you find help? Who should you turn to?
We set ourselves the goal of creating a simplified interactive platform for Ukrainian and Roma refugees from Ukraine who are in the Czech Republic. By using the interactive map and its features, everyone will be able to clearly understand who to contact, where, and when to resolve any issue that arises in daily life.
At czechia.refugee.info, you will find comprehensive, publicly accessible information on the interactive service map and in our articles regarding legal residence in the Czech Republic, job hunting, starting a business, obtaining education for both you and your children, resolving legal and social issues, receiving medical care, and a whole range of other services provided through free consultations to help you adapt to life in a new country as easily as possible.
We will help you regain the sense of stability that was lost back home.
The Refugee Info Czechia web platform is available in Ukrainian, Czech, English, and Russian.
The project website is connected to social media channels including Telegram, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
How can you get a consultation outside of the web portal?
We launched the web portal as a tool to significantly simplify the process of obtaining help for Ukrainian refugees and Roma from Ukraine, based on the vast number of requests received and processed by Slovo 21 staff since the end of February 2022 as part of the Refugee Info Czechia project. Since December 2022, our staff has been working systematically to provide information support and consultations through direct communication, a call center, and social media. During this period, our pages have had nearly 10,000 visitors, and over 3,000 people have reached out for help. The number of views of our consultation and information materials on TikTok has exceeded 500,000.
Slovo 21 staff are constantly available to provide online assistance. You can leave comments on social media or send us a private message and receive a response shortly. For qualified legal assistance, we will refer you to our partner professional organizations, which will provide you with free consultations.
Our staff is available via our call center, which operates on weekdays after 5:00 PM and on weekends.
Our mobile team has also begun systematic work on organizing offline meetings and information seminars across all regions of the Czech Republic.
A separate focus of the project is providing assistance in audio format to Ukrainian Roma who have left Ukraine due to the conflict but, for objective reasons, cannot use text-based formats or receive consultations through direct communication.
Our online resources are always at your service.
