Sound of Diversity
Diversity takes many forms and speaks many languages – and that is exactly why it has the power to connect people across cultures, generations, and borders. We are proud to be part of the European project Sound of Diversity, which connects cities and local communities across Europe with the goal of promoting equality and respect for minorities.
- The project provides an open community space where people who want to discuss, share, and create a world more open to everyone can meet during festivals across Europe.
- The project is a collaboration between cities, cultural organizations, and non-profit initiatives from 13 European countries, including the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, and Germany.
- Slovo 21 is implementing the project in the Czech Republic in cooperation with the capital city of Prague and the municipal districts of Prague 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Participating international events include, for example:
- the Gaming Village festival in Óbidos (PT),
- the Multitude festival in the Seine-Saint-Denis department (FR),
- the festival of various arts in Aleksandrów Łódzki (PL),
- the Tolerance Festival (HR),
- the Bârlad City Cultural Days (RO),
- the People Feast in Molfetta (IT),
- the Greek dance festival in Kileler (GR),
- the Summer Dying Loud festival (PL).
During each of these community events, in addition to established formats such as conferences, practical workshops, study visits, capacity-building workshops, and expert sessions for partner representatives and stakeholders, open stages will be added Sound of Diversity StageThis outdoor community forum aims to engage local residents, activists, youth, minority representatives, and experts in discussions on topics related to diversity management, anti-discrimination, inclusion, and the policies and visions of the European Union in these areas.
