Diversity comes in many forms and languages – and that’s exactly what gives it the power to connect people across cultures, generations, and borders. We are proud to be part of the European project Sound of Diversity, which connects cities and local communities across Europe with the aim of promoting equality and respect for minorities.

  • The project offers an open community space where, during festivals across Europe, people come together to discuss, share, and co-create a world that is more inclusive for everyone.
  • The project brings together cities, cultural organizations, and non-profit initiatives from 13 European countries, including the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, and Germany.
  • In the Czech Republic, the project is implemented by Slovo 21 in cooperation with the City of Prague and the city districts of Prague 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Among the international events involved are, for example:

  • the Gaming Village festival in Óbidos (PT),
  • the Multitude festival in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis (FR),
  • the Festival of Various Arts in Aleksandrów Łódzki (PL),
  • the Festival of Tolerance (CR),
  • the Cultural Days of the City of Bârlad (RO),
  • the People Feast celebration in Molfetta (IT),
  • the Greek Dance Festival in Kileler (GR),
  • the Summer Dying Loud festival (PL).

During each of these community events, in addition to established formats such as conferences, practical workshops, study visits, capacity-building sessions, and expert inputs aimed at project partners and stakeholders, Sound of Diversity Stages – open community forums – will be added. These outdoor stages aim to engage local residents, activists, young people, minority representatives, and experts in discussions on topics related to diversity management, combating discrimination, inclusion, and the policies and visions of the European Union in these areas.
